On December 3, 2017, the V Latin American Congress of Arachnology was held in Minas Gerais, Brazil, with the participation of a large part of our team. Innovative works made by the group were presented in both poster and oral presentation modes. We would like to congratulate two of our doctoral fellows for being distinguished as young arachnologists for their work. Mariela Oviedo-Diego won third place in the oral presentation category for her talk: ‘Post-copulatory immunological response: female role in the formation of genital plugs in two Species of bothriurid scorpions’ and Franco Cargnelutti won second place in the poster category for his work: ‘Spermatic viability in a haplogyne spider: first approach using Holocnemus pluchei (Scopoli 1763) (Pholcidae)’.
Congratulations to the Authors and Co-authors of these works!
